Sharing our Japan playbook at the JICA office

We represented SoftSora at the 'Entering Japan' trade-show guide session for ICT SMEs, held at the JICA Sri Lanka office. Invited by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board and the Japan International Cooperation Agency, we shared our journey of entering the Japanese market as a Sri Lankan startup, and what we learned exhibiting at Japan IT Week 2025.

Most of it came down to the unglamorous things: communication style, booth presence, and the patient follow-up that turns a first meeting into a relationship. We are grateful to EDB and JICA for their continued support, and glad to help more Sri Lankan companies find their footing in Japan.
